Good to Be Home
It was great to be back with our Northwoods family today. We truly missed you all and will again when we move. Speaking of moving--we still don't have any firm plans (other than the fact we are moving to El Paso, TX). I've scheduled a flight out there on the 19th and will look for a house. Based on our internet research and dealing with a realtor there, we're beginning to think we will end up having to build a house which will take approximately 6 months (maybe more). However, the housing market in El Paso is a lot like that in Tallahassee--houses go fast, so while there doesn't seem to be anything that meets our criteria right now, there could be some on the market the week I'm there. If I happen to find one and buy it, then we will have to get our house on the market immediately after I return. It was great being involved with youth again this evening. What a great group of boys and girls and young adults (helpers). Of course, Todd always does a great job. They announced the beginning of 3 new small groups this week. Please pray for those groups--the leaders, and the youth who are thinking about attending. BTW, I like Jenna's new glasses.
I got a call from a friend this evening asking if I wanted to go the the FSU-Miami game tomorrow. That didn't take me long to decide. Let's see--FSU-Miami football and FREE. After having season tickets for many years, we gave up our tickets last year so this might be my last chance to go to a game here before we leave. Every year (even the lasts few) I've entered the college football season with really high expectations for the Noles, but this year it is really an unknown. I will reserve judgment until after tomorrow's game. However, I do predict an upset in a close game (I just hope it doesn't come down to the kicking game).
