Seminole in El Paso

No, I'm not talking about me. There was an article in the local paper yesterday titled, "Ex-Seminole Brings Versatility." I hadn't realized that Lorne Sam (P.K.'s brother) had transferred to UTEP (University of Texas-El Paso). As a transfer, he had to sit out this year, but will be eligible next year. The other interesting thing is that although he played WR at FSU, he will also compete for the starting QB job here (he did play QB in HS).

As for us, we're still unpacking. I did fly back to Tallahassee and pick up our car and drive it back here. That went smoothly, but I'm glad I'm done with that trip -- 3 trips from Tally to El Paso in less than 2 months!

We have found a small community church that we really like and, although small, it is growing and there are many opportunities. The guy (they don't have a "Todd") that works with the youth has been alone in that ministry and desparately needs help. Right now, all the jr and sr high youths are in one Sunday School class because he's the only teacher. He also hosts their version of ROC at his house on Sunday evenings after the evening service (it's called SNAC--Sunday Night After Church) and the jr and sr high bible studies on Wednesdays.

Well, I need to get back to helping Lucy unpack and setting up stuff. I miss all my friends in Tallahassee and you are all in my prayers.
